Behold the King He cometh

and every eye shall see,

it’s written in God’s word

so in this I do believe.

To those who do belong to Him

and await His glorious return,

O what a joy within our hearts

as each day of Him we learn.

We walk with Him and talk to Him

He’s our dearest friend on this earth,

He came down from glory

and He had such a humble birth.

While we were yet sinners He died for us

He laid down His very life,

That we might believe and receive Him

and have eternal life.

O how we rejoice in Him

tho’ we suffer here for a while,

It won’t be long and we’ll be with Him

and that brings such joy and a smile.

In His presence is the fulness of joy

this is so very true,

The joy of the LORD is our strength

as we walk with Him all day thru’.

It is a joy unspeakable

sometimes you feel you could burst,

There’s such joy in His presence

when you really put Him first.

We fellowship with one another

speaking of His word,

O what a feast we have each day

there is so much that we can learn.

We now see Him in glory and splendour

seated on the right hand of the Father,

But one day we will bow before Him

for beside Him there’s no other.

He is the Lord of Glory

He is the Prince of Peace,

We will worship around the throne

and kneel down at His feet.

So we have all His wonderful promises

that we hold so dear to our heart,

This is what helps us thru’ each day

knowing we’ll never be apart.
