Today is a day of joy and gladness Father

a day for victories to be won,

a day where your word will go forth

let your will and purpose be done.

Please open eyes that they may see

and ears that they would hear,

The wonders that are in your word

that they too can really share.

Your word is so very precious

it’s food for our spirit each day

it gives strength and guidance as we read

it helps us to walk in your ways.

As our body needs food for strength each day

So our spirit needs your word,

We need to meditate on it day and night

There is so much that we can learn.

It’s like a hammer that breaks a rock in pieces

it divides between soul and spirit,

it discerns the thoughts and intents of our heart

so to walk with you, we need it.

So thank you Father for your word today

and for every person who hears,

Your word will not return to you void

it will accomplish your purpose out there.

Salvation for a hungry soul

Your healing for the hurting one,

Strength and guidance for those who are seeking

and hope of a heavenly home.
