Choose you this day whom you will serve

do you serve the Lord or do you serve yourself,

are you seeking God’s kingdom first

or are you seeking for greater wealth?

He didn’t promise it would be easy

to walk with Him each day,

but he promised he’d be with us

as we go along the way.

Thru’ Jesus Christ our Lord

we have spiritual blessings from above,

and thru’ His Spirit who lives in us

we can walk in gentleness, kindness and love.

If we walk in the Spirit and not in the flesh

we have the fruit of the Spirit,

peace and joy and long suffering

are only a few in the list.

There’s a battle goes on in us each day

between the flesh and the Spirit,

Sometimes the flesh seems to win

the things we don’t want to do, we seem to do it.

But we go to our Father once again

and say we’re sorry for what we’ve done,

and we know that only thru’ Jesus

the victory is already won.

So if we choose to serve our Lord

and follow Him each day,

we will know a love that nothing can compare with

and the dearest friend, who’s with us all the way.

It is far better to trust in the Lord

than to put your confidence in man,

For our Father is so faithful

and He holds us with His hand.

So this is my story, this is my song,

to walk with my Father all the day long,

To know His great love and forgiveness each day

To abide in His presence and with Him I’ll stay.
