O Father the beauty of the countryside

as we travelled in the car today,

It was just so amazing

that I was blessed all the way.

The magnificent mountains in the background

some with snow on the tops,

The rolling hills as we travelled along

and the sunshine that was so hot.

The lambs in the fields that skipped about

the trees that reached for the sky,

The rivers that flowed under the bridges

the grapevines seemed to go for miles.

I drove along just praising you Lord

for the wonderful things I could see,

The sea was amazing as it crashed on the shore

It was such a wonderful day for me.

A day like no other I’ve had for a long time

I felt as if I was free,

Such beauty O Lord reminds me of you

and with you, I will always be.

So thank you so much dear Father

for taking me on this trip away,

For reminding me of such beauty you created

and for my family where I spent the day.
