Let me tell you some stories of Jesus

from His word I love to hear,

That tell of his love and compassion

that to me are very dear.

First let me tell of the children

who stood round his knee,

how he laid his hands on them and blessed them

they were so precious you see.

Then there were some crowds that gathered

waiting for him to come,

he had compassion and healed their sick

God’s will was surely done.

But it was getting dark

and the people had no food,

The disciples said “We have 5 loaves and 2 fishes”

and Jesus blessed them with his word.

So they all sat down on the grass

and feasted until they were full,

what a wonderful picture of the Lord’s compassion

that he has for one and all.

Then the disciples went out on the lake

a stormy wind did blow,

and Jesus came walking to them on the water

whom the disciples didn’t know.

Then Peter called to him

“Lord if it be you,

Let me come to you on the water”

and Jesus said “Come”, it’s true.

So Peter came down out of the boat

he started to walk on the water,

but when he saw the wind so boisterous

his steps began to falter.

He was afraid and began to sink

and to the Lord he cried out,

Jesus stretched forth his hand and caught him

and said “why did you doubt?”

They truly began to see

that He was the Son of God,

how wonderful for them to have walked with him

and to tell the stories of old.

There are just so many stories

of Jesus that I have heard,

that tell of his wonderful love and compassion

you’re able to read in His word.

So we are very blessed

to have Jesus as our Lord and Saviour,

He is there to strengthen us

when our faith begins to waver.

O Father thank you so much for Jesus

Your very precious Son,

There’s none I desire on earth besides you

You truly are the one.
