Father this closeness to you is wonderful

but it is a bit scary too,

I’m afraid I’ll wake up one day

and wonder if it’s really true.

I know I love you and trust you

in a way I never have before,

but I know it is you whose done this in me

as to you my heart I pour.

There are just never enough thank you’s

or never enough praise,

that I can ever give you

throughout all the rest of my days.

I am so grateful to you Father

for I know from whence I’ve come,

There has been such a change in my life

and thru’ you this change has been done.

You say you are at work within us

you change us more each day,

You create in us a heart that loves you more

and longs to hear what you would say.

You say if we love you, we will obey you

we will come aside and seek you and pray,

I know for me, to spend this time with you

is the most precious time of my day.

I love to share my love with others

that they too will know your love,

first of all for them to know Jesus

whom you sent down from above.

You said we must be born again

thru’ Jesus for there’s no other,

He is the way, the truth, and the life

and He brings us to you O Father.

What good news it is for us

as we see from you, we’re so far apart,

that Jesus is the bridge over that gap

the one who leads straight to your heart.

O thank you, thank you Father

you provided a way for us,

to come right into your presence

thru’ Jesus death on the cross.

Amazing love how can it be

that thou my Lord shoulds’t die for me,

You took my sin and my pain

O hallelujah, my Lord you reign.
