Why art thou downcast O my soul

why so troubled within,

For our LORD is mighty and victorious

He truly is the winner.

He triumphed when He died on the cross

He has the keys of death and hell,

He is the mighty conqueror

what a wonderful story to tell.

He died to set us free

from sin in our lives so great,

If we receive the LORD Jesus

 one day we’ll enter heavens gates.

I love God’s precious word

 so much in there to behold,

  As we spend each day in His presence

His word He begins to unfold.

They’re like sparkling jewels so glorious

such wonders you’ve never seen,

It fills your heart with joy and hope

when you see how faithful He’s been.

O how I love you Father

you’re so faithful unto me,

The love and assurance you give me each day

that with you I’ll always be.
