We are told in the Bible of heaven

such beauty to behold,

Such glory we’ve never seen before

spoken of by the saints of old.

Abraham was looking for a city

whose builder and maker was God,

We too are waiting for that heav’nly home

about which in God’s word we are told.

How wonderful it is to know

we have a home awaiting for us there,

In heaven when we leave this body

leaving this earth down here.

Absent from the body and present wiith the LORD

is the hope before us now,

Being in His presence

before Him we will bow.

We will see His Holiness

His glory and such splendour,

A completeness and perfection

in our final surrender.

O what a blessed hope we have

before us every day,

of being with our Heavenly Father

and with Him we will stay.
