The pleasures of earth are but for a time

but the joys of heaven are forever,

O what beautiful promises we have

of God’s children one day being together.

Together with our Father in heaven

all pain and sorrow will be gone,

Our faith in the One who gave His life

for it is He to whom we belong.

While here we walk in faith not by sight

with the One who will bring us home,

We have His promises which are sure and steadfast

and we are never alone.

For He’s given His Holy Spirit

to come and dwell within,

To comfort us in our trials

and to convict us of our sin.

O what a wonderful Saviour we have

Jesus Christ our Lord,

Thru’ His blood we’re cleansed from sin

and He remembers our sin no more.

O glory to His name

My LORD who reigns on high,

His word,He’s promised will come to pass

In the sweet sweet bye and bye.
