Rejection is so painful

It hurts right to the core,

It makes you feel such an outcast

No one loves you any more.

You feel so very devastated

how could this be so,

What’s wrong with me that no one wants me

and I really just don’t know.

The whole thing is we take it all to ourselves

and it’s often the other person,

Something that’s going on in their life

and it’s not with us at all.

It’s a good thing our Father in heaven knows

and we can run to him,

We find such love and acceptance

and He brings healing to our heart within.

He said if your Father and Mother forsake you

that He would take you up,

come to Him he’s waiting for you

He’s the one whom you can trust.

Life isn’t easy, I sure found out

it can be very painful too,

I had so many dreams of what it would be like

but don’t think any of them were true.

But one thing I have found

is the love of the Lord that’s so real,

and when I asked Jesus into my life

things really began to heal.

He took my broken and shattered life

He’s the restorer of my soul,

He poured out his love and mercy and grace

and it’s in Him that I’m made whole.

O how I love my Father

He’s done something no one else could do,

He’s taken the shattered pieces

and in Him I’ve found life anew.

It is so different now

I dream of going to be with Him,

and I know this will come true

because he’s placed this hope within.

For it’s in his word Jesus said,

He’s gone to prepare a place for you and me,

If we’ve received Him into our heart

with Him we will always be.

O what a wonderful promise

for the children of God,

We have this hope set before us

that too our hearts we can hold.
