We need not fear, our Father is near

His promises are sure and steadfast,

we may not understand the things that we go thru’

but His grace is sufficient for us.

I remember when I was so ill

I had no control over things,

but while going thru’ it I saw God’s hand

and such comfort to my heart it would bring.

He placed doctors and nurses there for me

they were such caring people,

He made it possible for family to look after me

and his presence with me was so real.

I have no fear of dying

for I know I will be with Him,

but sometimes it’s the thinking of suffering

that into my heart it will bring.

But I know He never leaves us

and I’ve seen how he’s carried me through,

so dear friends it’s the same if you love him

He’s there for me and you.

He said, “fear not for I am with you”

and his word I so believe,

As we walk each day with him hand in hand

such joy and assurance we receive.
