The wonder of wonders is God’s love
there’s just nothing to compare,
as I stood at the sea and watched the sunrise
O Father you seemed so near.

The gentle lap of the waves on the beach
the birds as they flew above,
The beauty of the sky with the different colours
it all reminded me of your great love.

In the beginning you created all things
You had a great purpose in view,
You beheld all you’d made and said it was good
it’s all in your word which is true.

There must have been great joy in your heart
when you saw the beauty you’d made,
The rainbow for instance with all its colours
and I’m sure those colours won’t fade.

Man you created in the image of you
the animals large and small,
The sun and the moon and all the seasons
the mountains large and tall.

But in the end the first heaven and earth
are going to pass away,
for there will be a new heaven and earth
This is what God had to say.

John saw a new heaven and earth
for the first one had passed away,
He saw the new Jerusalem come down
from God out of heaven, to stay.

And there God will wipe away all tears
there’ll be no death nor sorrow nor crying,
and there’ll be no need of sun or moon
for the glory of God will shine.

Revelation 21:1
And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away, and there was no more sea.
