My days appear to be darker

 the sun goes behind the clouds,

But the light of your glory shines

shedding its sunbeams all around.

The promises in your word

are like lights in the dark,

They help to show up the path

as we head to the final mark.

They are like treasures in the darkness

that are so precious to me,

I hold them close to my heart

with me they’ll always be.

They encourage and help me daily

as I’m walking with you LORD,

They help me to keep my eyes fixed on you

 and not on the things of this world.

  Looking unto Jesus

The Author  and Finisher of our faith,

He leads us in paths of righteousness

for His own names sake.
