The pressures come on each day

places to go and things to do,

I’m so thankful I belong to you Father

for I know I just wouldn’t get thru’.

You are my strength from day to day

to you I always come,

The time I spend reading your word and praying

 is the best thing I could have done.

It helps me to know you more

to walk faithfully by your side,

for the one thing I truly desire

is always in you to abide.

I know now it is the only place

that is safe for me to be,

sheltered by your loving arms

you help my eyes to see.

See wonderful things in your word

that are treasures in my heart,

See people out there hurting

and from you so far apart.

Knowing how much you love them

You gave your beloved Son,

To die on the cross that we might know

that in Him the victory is won.

He died that we might have eternal life

from sin he’d set us free,

If we would repent and ask Him into our heart

with Him we would always be.

So thankyou my dear Father

for your love so wonderful and true,

for your mercy and amazing grace

One day I’ll be home with you.
