O Father I can see now

I had to lose all to gain all of you,

It has been such a painful journey

but you have seen me through.

The loss of all has gained so much more

to love you Father each day,

To be so close to you right now

Is more than I could ever pray.

It’s more than I could ever dreamed it would be

to have someone to love me so much,

To want to be in every part of my life

and to know that loving touch.

O how I long to see you Father

not just walking by faith,

in my spirit I see you

but I long for that heavenly place.

You brought such wonderful people

into my life to help me,

and I hope they have seen what you’ve done

in changing me and setting me free.

There’s no one like you Father

no one could love us so,

I know I’m so blessed to enter that rest

the thing I long for others to know.

I still sometimes grieve for the things that are gone

or for things that I’ll never have,

but you put your arms around me

and it makes me feel so glad.

Glad that I belong to you

so glad that you’ll always love me,

so glad that you’ve bro’t me close to your heart

and that’s where I’ll always be.

So once again I thank you Father

for your wonderful love,

for such mercy and grace you’ve out poured

and are bringing me to my home above.
